The 1996 team finished 4-11 overall and 2-4 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The Hornets dropped their first eight games, but finished with four wins in the final seven games. Jason Haslbeck led the team with 39 goals and 58 points, while Doug Dicconson added 23 goals and 23 assists.
