Coach Moan led the Hornets to a 12-3 record in 1994, which was historically the best season the team had and stood as the most victories in a season until 2003. The 1994 team set numerous offensive records, as Mike Marchetti netted nine goals and three assists against Western Maryland, which currently stands as a single game record for both goals and points (12). Marchetti finished the season with 67 goals and 85 points, which land him in first place all-time in the respective categories. Brett Meyer helped with 34 assists, which is good enough for fourth place in single-season assists. Chris Morrison had 246 saves in goal, which stands as sixth all-time.

"1994 was another great year and the team was ranked from the pre-season all the way through for I believe the first time in school history. The NCAA sent a letter to us stating that we were in consideration for the NCAA tournament (Only 8 teams back then) so we ended up staying on campus an extra week or so after school was out practicing just in case we made the tournament.
In reality we all knew we had no chance, but the plan was to get used to the idea that we will someday be in the NCAA tournament. This team was loaded with talented players. The attack was explosive and put up big numbers led by Mike Marchetti who was voted the ODAC Player of the year and also played in the North/South game where Coach Moan was selected as the Coach. Brent Meyer and Kevin Collins were the other two starting attackmen and both put up big numbers and set some scoring and assist records that year for the season and individual games. The team had some great midfielders who forced a lot of turnovers and generated a lot of fast breaks led by seniors (Team Captain) BJ Hinkle and John Kelly and younger players like Brian Catney and Jason Haslbeck. Chris Morrison had an outstanding year in goal and the Defense was anchored by All-American Chad Brown."
