Virginia Wesleyan Defeats Lynchburg Men 69-49
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - The Lynchburg College men's basketball team was defeated by Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foe Virginia Wesleyan College 69-49 on Wednesday night.
The Marlins went into the half with a 34-15 lead, but Lynchburg showed improved play in the second-half and played an even stanza, 34-35, to close out the game. Steven Echols (Martinsville, VA/Carlisle) paced the Hornets with 15 points and seven rebounds.
Virginia Wesleyan (11-7/5-4 ODAC) was led by Quinton McDuffie's game-high 18 points, and Terreell Dixon was the only other player in double figure scoring with 16 points.
Lynchburg will travel to Salem, VA, to square off with ODAC rival Roanoke College at 7 p.m.
