EMU Pulls Out 69-56 Win over LC Women

 HARRISONBURG, VA - The Eastern Mennonite University women's basketball team used a 20-rebound advantage to defeat visiting Lynchburg College Saturday afternoon 69-56 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.

 The Royals led 33-29 at the half, and were ahead by just two with 8:17 on the game clock. But a 19-5 run over the next 7:30 put the game away. EMU grabbed 51 rebounds on the game, 22 on the offensive end, to Lynchburg's 31 caroms.

 Junior guard Dana Esposito (New Port Richie, FL/Holy Names) led the Hornets with 13 points and nailed three of her six three-point shot attempts. Kristina Darby (Tampa, FL/Holy Names) scored 12 off the bench and Kylie Lucas (Verona, VA/Fort Defiance) was 5-6 from the floor and ended the day with 11 points and five rebounds.

Danielle Scott poured in 17 points with 10 boards for Eastern Mennonite (12-4/7-4 ODAC). Ebony Dennis had 15 points and a game-high 13 rebounds while Miranda Wolfe scored 13 points.

 Lynchburg (7-10/3-5 ODAC) travels southwest to Emory & Henry College for another ODAC game Friday at 7 p.m.
