            LYNCHBURG, VA - The Bridgewater College women's basketball team scored an important 79-57 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) road win at Lynchburg College Tuesday evening in Turner Gymnasium.

            The Eagles closed out the first half with a 13-6 run to enter intermission with a 36-27 advantage.  BC shot 49 percent from the floor in the second half (16-33) while forcing LC into just 32 percent marksmanship (12-38) over the same span to pull away.

            Lynchburg freshman Katie Crump (Burke, VA/Lake Braddock) took advantage of her first collegiate start to tally 12 points and Kylie Lucas (Verona, VA/Fort Defiance) scored a game-high 13 points for LC, and grabbed five offensive rebounds. Brittany Dahn (Richmond, VA/Deep Run) was 4-4 from the floor to finish with eight points and eight rebounds in just 21 minutes.  Dana Esposito (New Port Richie, FL/Holy Names) netted eight points.  

            Sophomore Jordan Burkholder scored a game-high 17 points for Bridgewater (6-6/4-3 ODAC), and added four assists, three steals and two blocks. Jennifer Saunders tallied 13 points and Rebecca Henderson had 14 points and four blocked shots. Burkholder, Saunders and Henderson each grabbed seven rebounds.   

            The Hornets (5-8/3-5 ODAC) host cross-town rival Randolph College Friday night in another ODAC game at 7 p.m.
