Make a difference

Service-learning benefits both the community partners and the students engaged in the project. Employers in both the public and private sectors have also incorporated service into their missions and value employees who are committed to their communities.

Service-Learning Courses Help Students:

  • respond to real community needs,
  • connect the service experience and academic coursework through reflection,
  • develop strong values and interpersonal skills,
  • foster a greater sense of citizenship and connection to the community,
  • form relationships with organizations dedicated to service and the people they aim to serve.

Service-Learning Courses Include:
