Savannah Tinsley Named Second-Team All-State

Savannah Tinsley Named Second-Team All-State

LYNCHBURG, VA - Hornet Volleyball player Savannah Tinsley (Lynchburg, VA/EC Glass) was recently named Second-Team All-State as voted on by Virginia Sports Information Directors.

Tinsley, a junior, earned her second straight appearancec on the All-State squad this fall after earning her second consecutive All-ODAC honor. Tinsley had a record breaking junior campaign, setting both the LC single-match and single-season records for digs. The single-game record now stands at 45, besting assistant coach Corri Pfister's previus record of 43, and that total is also the fifth best in ODAC history. By setting the single-season record with 602 digs, she also broke Pfister's record by 23 and now sits in third place in the ODAC annals. Tinsley now needs 578 digs to tie the career digs record at LC and just 382 to move into the top 10 in the ODAC.
