LC Riders Compete at Bridgewater
BRIDGEWATER, VA - The Lynchburg College equestrian team traveled to Bridgewater College Saturday and freshman Kelly Gerland (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) was named the overall reserve high-point rider.
Gerland won the novice flat and took second in intermediate fences. Mallory Williams was second in the walk-trot, Jamie Carille (Virginia Beach, VA/Frank W. Cox) placed third in the novice flat and fourth in novice fences. Caitlin Flathers (Rixeyville, VA) took third in the intermediate flat, Sarah Ridgeway (Locust Dale, Orange County) finished fourth in walk-trot-canter and Jordan Rooney (Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo) was fourth in intermediate fences and sixth in the open flat, tying with Charlotte Harris (Middleburg, VA/Madeira).
The Hornets compete at the Southwest Virginia Hunter/Jumper Association Annual Show this weekend.
