2008 Concerto Competition
2008 Concerto Competition
The two winning students of the 2008 Concerto Competition performed their concerto movements on Friday, March 20, 2009, in Sydnor Performance Hall with the Lynchburg College Orchestra. In addition, the four students receiving honorable mention performed their concerto movements with their piano accompanists.

Vocal winner Matthew Vickers (Tenor) performed Cantata 55 "Ich arme Mensch, ich Sunderknecht" by Johann Sebastian Bach. Matthew studies in the vocal studio of Dr. Jong H. Kim.

Instrumentalist winner Peter DeVall (Violin) performed the Violin Concerto in D minor Opus 47 by Jean Sibelius. Peter studies in the violin studio of Ellen Habitzruther.
