Betsy Kwiatkowski Totals Eight Points as LC Defeats R-MC 6-0

ASHLAND, VA - Sophomore forward Betsy Kwiatkowski (Mount Jackson, VA/Stonewall Jackson) tallied three goals and two assists to lead the third-ranked Lynchburg College women's soccer team to a 6-0 win at Randolph-Macon College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action Wednesday afternoon. With her first assist on the day, Kwiatkowski broke the school record for helpers in a season, and now has 16.

Sophomore forward Katie Santos (Cheltenham, VA/Bishop Ireton) took a feed from Kwiatkowski four minutes into the game and rattled a goal in off the post for the game's opening score. Kwiatkowski scored unassisted tallies at 9:40 and 14:26 to put the contest out of reach.

Santos also finished the game with a hat trick, her third of the season. Lynchburg out-shot Randolph-Macon 36-4 and held an 11-4 edge in corner kicks. Mary Jocelyn and China Bradley split time in net for the Yellow Jackets (9-8), combining for 13 saves.

Lynchburg (16-0-3/9-0-2 ODAC) will host a first-round ODAC playoff game this Saturday at 4 p.m. The Hornets enter the tournament as the #2 seed, and will face #7 Randolph-Macon for the second time in four days.
