Student Schedules

The counselor education faculty have outlined typical schedules for first year students who are planning to enroll on either a part-time or full-time basis. Students entering their first year of study should utilize the information below and register for classes as soon as possible upon notification of their acceptance into the program to enhance the likelihood of obtaining a preferred schedule.

For each semester, options are given for enrollment in order to meet the needs of individual students to structure either full-time or part-time course loads. Please refer to the Graduate Studies Catalog for additional information about specific course content. Students are encouraged to meet with their advisors midway through their first semester to set up a plan of studies.

COUN 605 - Counseling Theories (fall) 
COUN 620 - Group Counseling Procedures and Techniques (spring)
COUN 625 - Professional Identity and Function of School Counselors (fall)
COUN 670 - Legal and Ethical Issues in Counseling (spring)
EDHD 602 - Human Development (fall & spring)
 

*EDHD 609 - Research Methods and Applications is offered fall, spring, and summer terms; there is no pre-requisite.
**EDHD 610- Tests and Measurements is not a core class, is only offered in fall, and has no pre-requisites.
