Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program

Coordinator: Dr. Mandy Perryman

This program option is designed to meet the growing need for mental health professionals in the areas of individual, family, and group counseling. Students prepare for entry level counseling positions in community mental health agencies, human service organizations, outpatient counseling centers, drug and alcohol treatment programs, and psychiatric hospitals. Along with the common core courses for the M.Ed., the specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling offers additional classroom instruction specific to clinical counseling and relevant on-site training experiences at mental health settings during the student's practicum and internship courses.

The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program requires a total of 60 credit hours.
