#3 Lynchburg Women's Soccer Defeats EMU 2-0

HARRISONBURG, VA - The Lynchburg College women's soccer team kept hopes of an unbeaten season alive Saturday as the Hornets defeated Eastern Mennonite University 2-0 in Old Dominion Athletic conference (ODAC) play.

LC got on the board midway into the first half, as Betsy Kwiatkowski (Mount Jackson, VA/Stonewall Jackson) scored on an assist from Joanie Snyder (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air). The Hornets maintained the one-goal lead until the 64:24, as Snyder found Katie Santos (Cheltenham, MD/Bishop Ireton) for an insurance goal.

Abi Diffenbach made seven saves for the Royals (8-7/6-4 ODAC). The Hornets out-shot their hosts 22-6 and held a 12-5 edge in corner kicks.

Lynchburg (15-0-3/8-0-2 ODAC) completes the regular season Wednesday at Randolph-Macon College at 4 p.m.
