LC Tops Sweet Briar 10-0

Box Score

LYNCHBURG, VA - Junior Ashley Hoath (Alexandria, VA/Mount Vernon) and sophomore Katie Santos (Cheltenham, MD/Bishop Ireton) each posted hat tricks as the Lynchburg College women's soccer team defeated visiting Sweet Briar College 10-0 Wednesday evening in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) contest.

Hoath scored from Betsy Kwiatkowski (Mount Jackson, VA/Stonewall Jackson) 6:29 into the game, but the Vixen defense held LC at bay until after the 20-minute mark. LC scored five more before intermission, however, including three in a six-minute span midway through the half.

Kwiatkowski had three assists, and Colleen Frickie (Arlington, VA/Yorktown), Amy Krause (Chesapeake, VA/Great Bridge), Brittany Johnson (Manassas, VA/Osbourn) and Christina Tran (Sterling, VA/Severn) each had a goal.  Beverly Hoath (Alexandria, VA/Mount Vernon), Lindsay Gengras (Avon, CT/Avon) and Dani Crotty (Mason, OH/Mason) all had an assist.

Seanne Weekes made 19 saves for the Vixens (2-12/0-9 ODAC), and LC out-shot the visitors 54-0.

The Hornets travel to Eastern Mennonite University Saturday for another ODAC game at 5 p.m.
