LYNCHBURG, VA – Sophomore Katie Santos (Cheltenham, MD/Bishop Ireton) and junior Ashley Hoath (Alexandria, VA/Mount Vernon) each notched a hat trick and an assist Wednesday night as the No. 3-ranked Lynchburg College women’s soccer team breezed by Emory & Henry College 9-0 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play from Shellenberger Field.
The Hornets (12-0-3/5-0-2 ODAC) jumped out of the gate early scoring three goals in the first 10:15 of the match. Hoath scored her first at 4:40 with help from Betsy Kwiatkowski (Mount Jackson, VA/Stonewall Jackson.
