LC Volleyball Prevails Over Randolph in Four Games

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College volleyball team defeated visiting Randolph College in four games - 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, and 25-16 - from Turner Gymnasium Tuesday evening.

Four players posted double digit kill totals for Lynchburg. Chelsea Jones (Richmond, VA/Monocan) tallied 13 kills while Elena Kritter (Culpeper, VA/Rappahannock) totalled 12 kills and 18 digs. Michelle Boucher (Chesapeake, VA/Nansemond Suffolk) contributed with 10 kills, two blocks, two service aces, and five digs while Erin Heffelfinger (Chapel Hill, NC/Chapel Hill) tacked on 10 kills. Kristina Giordano (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) dished out 42 digs and recorded 10 digs, three kills, and two blocks, while Jasmine Murphy (Shipman, VA/Nelson County) had 15 digs, and Tiffany Goodman (Lynchurg, VA/Heritage) had 11 digs. Savannah Tinsley (Lynchburg, VA/EC Glass) had 27 digs, and Ashley Stokes (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage) posted five kills and two blocks.

The Hornets return to the court this Saturday for a tri-match with Southern Virginia University and Hood College with games set for 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m.
