FARMVILLE, VA – The Lynchburg College golf team finished play Tuesday at the Hampden-Sydney Invitational tournament, with the Hornets finished ninth out of 12 teams in the two-day event. The tourney was held at The Manor Resort and Golf Course in Farmville, VA.

Lynchburg was led by Conrad Anguera (Lynchburg, VA/Carlucci Amer. Int.), who carded a 75 Monday and an 82 Tuesday for a team-best 157. His total tied him for 11th place overall, also finishing as the best golfer on par fives with a 4.63 stroke average.

Senior Ryan White (Round Hill, VA/Loudoun County) shot a cumulative 160 for 19th place, while teammate Augie Camacho (Suffolk, VA/Lakeland) came in with a 167, which tied him for 41st place.

Sam Musselman (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cedar Cliff) fared well in his first collegiate meet, taking 176 shots over the two-day tournament, while fellow first-year player Patrick Leyshon (London, OH/London) matched that score with a 176 of his own.

The Hornets are back on the links Sunday as they travel to the Virginia State Invitational at Mattaponi Springs Golf Course in Ruther Glen, VA.
