#2 LC Women Roll 9-0 over Hollins
LYNCHBURG, VA – Freshman midfielder Joanie Snyder (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air) scored three times and added an assist as the second-ranked Lynchburg College women’s soccer team skated to a 9-0 win Saturday over Hollins University as a part of Parents and Family Weekend.
The Hornets scored three goals in the first seven minutes and never looked back. Katie Santos (Cheltenham, MD/Bishop Ireton) and Betsy Kwiatkowski (Mount Jackson, VA/Stonewall Jackson) netted two goals, while Cecilia Moore (Washington, DC/Woodrow Wilson) and Brittany Klippstein (Springfield, VA/West Springfield) each scored one goal, and Beverly Hoath (Alexandria, VA/Mount Vernon) had two assists.
Hollins (1-7/0-5 ODAC) keeper Elizabeth Bills made nine saves. LC outshot the visitors 40-0 and held a 6-0 edge in corner kicks.
The Hornets (10-0-2/3-0-1 ODAC) travel to Roanoke College Wednesday for an ODAC clash at 7 p.m.
