LC Volleyball Upends Randolph College 3-0

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College volleyball team defeated cross town rival Randolph College 3-0 in a non-conference match Saturday from Turner Gymnasium on the campus of Lynchburg College.

LC received seven kills each from Erin Heffelfinger (Chapel Hill, NC/Chapel Hill) and Michelle Boucher (Chesapeake, VA/Nansemond Suffolk) with Heffelfinger posted six digs and Boucher five. Elena Kritter (Culpeper, VA/Rappahannock) tacked on six kills and five digs and Ashley Stokes (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage) added five kills and two blocks. Chelsea Jones (Richmond, VA/Monocan) contributed with four blocks and Savannah Tinsley (Lynchburg, VA/EC Glass) tallied 13 digs. Jasmine Murphy (Shipman, VA/Nelson County) and Kristina Giordano (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) each recorded six digs with Giordano dishing out 20 assists.

LC (11-9) hosts perennial ODAC powerhouse Washington & Lee University Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
