Lynchburg Volleyball Defeats Sweet Briar 3-0 in ODAC Action

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College volleyball team defeated the visiting Vixens of Sweet Briar College 25-13, 25-20, and 25-16 to move to 2-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).

Erin Heffelfinger (Chapel Hill, NC/Chapel Hill) recorded a team-high 11 kills along with eight digs and one service ace. Elena Kritter (Culpeper, VA/Rappahannock) posted eight kills and 17 digs while Michelle Boucher (Chesapeake, VA/Nansemond Suffolk) tacked on six kills, four digs, and one block. Savannah Tinsley (Lynchburg, VA/EC Glass) contributed with 19 digs and four service aces and Kristina Giordano (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) had 27 assists, nine digs, and three service aces. Tiffany Goodman (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage) and Jasmine Murphy (Shipman, VA/Nelson County) had seven and eight digs respectively.

Sweet Briar falls to 4-9 overall and 0-2 in the ODAC while Lynchburg goes to 7-7 overall and 1-0 in the ODAC.

The Hornets travel to Beckley, WV, on Saturday to participate in the Mountain State Tri-Match.
