Joanie Snyder Scores Three as LC Upends Randolph 10-0
LYNCHBURG, VA – Freshman forward Joanie Snyder (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air) scored three times and sophomore forward Betsy Kwiatkowski (Mount Jackson, VA/Stonewall Jackson) posted a goal and five assists as the Lynchburg College women’s soccer team defeated Randolph College 10-0 Tuesday in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.
The Hornets out-shot the WildCats 39-0 and held a 7-0 edge in corner kicks. Ashley Hoath (Alexandria, VA/Mount Vernon) and Brittany Johnson (Manassas, VA/Osbourn) each scored twice, while Brittany Klippstein (Springfield, VA/West Springfield) and Katie Santos (Cheltenham, MD/Bishop Ireton) found the back of the net once. Jess Mader (Red Bank, NJ/Red Bank Catholic), Dani Crotty (Mason, OH/Mason), Katie Gebhard (Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo) and Snyder each contributed one assist.
Victoria Johnson made 22 saves for Randolph (2-3/0-2 ODAC).
The Hornets (6-0-1/1-0 ODAC) travel to Methodist University for a non-conference match-up at 2 p.m. Saturday.
