Lynchburg Volleyball Opens ODAC Play With a 3-Set Defeat of Guilford College

GREENSBORO, NC - The Lynchburg College volleyball team opened up their Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) schedule with a three set victory – 25-19, 25-23, 25-15 – over the Quakers of Guilford College.

Erin Heffelfinger (Chapel Hill, NC/Chapel Hill) posted a match-high 12 kills on 27 attempts and Elena Kritter (Culpeper, VA/Rappahannock) continued her outstanding play with 11 kills on just 21 attempts along with two service aces and 11 digs. Kristina Giordano (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) has 28 assists and Savanna Tinsley (Lynchburg, VA/EC Glass) contributed with 10 digs and three service aces. Chelsea Jones (Richmond, VA/Monacan) and Michelle Boucher (Chesapeake, VA/Nansemond Suffolk) each posted four kills and three service aces.

Lynchburg will return to the court this weekend as they travel to Danville, KY, to participate in the Centre College Classic.
