Outdoor Recreation Minor

The outdoor recreation minor is designed to provide you with the leadership, technical, and facilitation skills required to lead others whether in a front county, a challenge course or into the back country.
The outdoor recreation minor is an ideal choice for you if you have an interest in the outdoors, teaching, or gaining leadership experience. You can pair it with any of a variety of majors, from health and physical education to business administration.
What Will I Study?
The minor includes classroom-based courses on philosophy and leadership ethics with field-based courses on canoeing and kayaking, backpacking, rock climbing, challenge courses, scuba diving and other outdoor sports.
