Michael Butzgy Wins Virginia Intercollegiate Tournament

Senior Michael Butzgy (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) won his first collegiate golf tournament on Monday, as he shot a three-under par 141 over the two-day Virginia Intercollegiate Tournament held at the par-72 Wintergreen Resort.

Senior Michael Butzgy (Miller Place, VA/Miller Place) shot a one-over 73 Sunday in leading the Lynchburg College Hornet golf team to a fourth place finish at the Ted Keller Invitational, hosted by Randolph-Macon College at Hunting Hawk Golf Course

The Lynchburg College golf team competed in the Ted Keller Invitational Saturday, hosted by Randolph-Macon College at par 72, 6,882 yard Hunting Hawk Golf Course. Lynchburg currently sits in 11th place after day one, after shooting a 27-over 315.

Lynchburg Golf Finishes Play at the Hampden-Sydney Invitational

The Lynchburg College golf team finished play at the Hampden-Sydney Invitational Tuesday, as the Lynchburg “A” team finished tied for eighth while the LC “B” team took home tenth place. The tournament was played at The Manor Golf Resort on a par-72 course.

Lynchburg Golf Competes at Hampden-Sydney Invitational Monday

The Lynchburg College golf team competed in day one of the Hampden-Sydney Invitational, played at par-72 Manor Golf Resort. Lynchburg “A” sits in seventh place after day one, as the team carded a 63-over 351, while Lynchburg “B” fired a 67-over 355.

Hornets Compete at Bridgewater College Invitational

The Lynchburg College golf team placed eighth after play Saturday and Sunday at the 11-team Tom Kinder Memorial, hosted by Bridgewater College at the Lakeview Golf Club.
