Study abroad programming continues to show
significant growth
Participation in study abroad by this year's graduating class is certainly indicative of the College's commitment to internationalization. Approximately 28 percent of the class of 2009 took part in various study abroad opportunities offered by the
College. As part of their global education, this year's graduates studied abroad not only in Western European destinations, but also South Korea, India, Vietnam, Morocco, St. Lucia, and Costa Rica. Such growth is the result of an increase in programming offered by the College. The 2008 graduating class had a 21 percent student participation rate in study abroad while only less than 5 percent of LC students graduated with a study abroad experience just a decade ago.

International relations students achieve success at National Model United Nations Simulation
Representing the South Asian nation of Bangladesh, LC's Model UN team won two awards at this year's simulation - Distinguished Award for Position Papers and Honorable Mention Award for the Delegation (based upon the group's performance). Under the leadership of Dr. Sabita Manian, twenty students traveled to New York City this semester to take part in the annual event.
