Three Hornets Earn Spots on Men’s DIII All-Academic Team

NEW ORLEANS – Lynchburg College’s Travis Wray (Newburg, MD/La Plata), Scott Decker (Clifton, VA/Robinson) and Ricky Flynn (Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus) were recently honored on the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III Men’s Academic Track and Field Team.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met the NCAA Division III Indoor or Outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard in their respective event.

“I am really proud of Travis, Scott and Ricky,” said LC head mentor Dr. Jack Toms. “They are not only super track and field athletes but also scholars in the classroom.”
