Scott Decker Named CoSIDA Academic First-Team All-District

Scott Decker Named CoSIDA Academic First-Team All-District

          Scott Decker   LYNCHBURG, VA – Hornet senior Scott Decker (Clifton, VA/Robinson) was recently named to the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) first-team All-District Academic squad.

             Decker earned All-American honors this spring by placing third in the pole vault last month at the Division III Championships in Oshkosh, WI. He won the pole vault competition at both the Old Dominion Athletic Conference indoor and outdoor track & field championship meets this year. Decker was also named the conference Men’s Track & Field Scholar Athlete of the Year for both seasons.

             Decker has a 3.71 cumulative GPA and majors in business management. First-team all-district honorees, including Decker, are eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-American consideration, announced later this month.
