Devlin helped LC to its most wins in school history, as the Hornets finished with 32 victories and a NCAA South Regional berth. Devlin posted a 9-0 record this season, while sporting a 1.04 earned run average and a .232 batting average against.
Devlin was named the 2008 Lynchburg College Male Athlete of the Year as voted on by The College’s coaches. He also has earned All-South Region first-team accolades to go with second-team All-ODAC honors in 2008.
Devlin becomes the fifth All-American during Head Coach Percy Abell’s tenure at LC, and the first since 2005. Devlin will lead a strong pitching contingent into next season, as the Hornets graduated no seniors after finishing with their best team ERA over the last six years.
