Lynchburg College will host two events to provide information to prospective students.

On Tuesday, May 13, a Graduate Information Session will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Alumni House Lounge to acquaint prospective graduate students with graduate offerings for the M.A., the M.Ed., and the M.B.A. degrees.

On Wednesday, May 14, a Transfer, Access Open House will be held at 6 p.m. in the Alumni House. The Access program offers discounted rates to adult learners age 25 years or older who wish to study at Lynchburg College.

Lynchburg College offers a broad range of graduate study including a new M.A. in music summer program for choral and instrumental conducting that will begin in June; M.A. programs in English and history; six M.Ed. concentrations in school and community counseling, educational leadership, reading, special education, science education, and curriculum and instruction; and an M.B.A. program that provides in-depth knowledge of the business core including accounting, finance, marketing, and management. In addition, several non-degree options are available, including new graduate course sequences in biology and mathematics; an earth science add-on endorsement option; a certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD); coursework for teacher licensure including the LC Teach Program; counseling licensure; license renewal; and professional and personal enrichment.

Those attending the Transfer, Access Open House will have the opportunity to meet with enrollment counselors and talk to current students about life at LC. Prospective students who bring a transcript to the open house can obtain an unofficial transfer credit evaluation as well as an estimate of a financial aid package. In addition, information will be available on transfer scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 and the College's new Transfer Scholarship Competition for applicants with awards ranging from $1,500 to $3,500.

The college will waive its $30 application fee for those who submit a completed application during both the information session and the open house.
