LC Competes at Duke Twilight

LC Competes at Duke Twilight

            DURHAM, NC – The Lynchburg College outdoor track and field team sent a few individuals to the Duke University Twilight Invitational Sunday evening.

            Scott Decker (Clifton, VA/Robinson) cleared 15’7” in the pole vault for the third-straight meet. Chris Irby (South Boston, VA/Halifax County) ran the 800-meters in two minutes flat and Travis Wray (Newburg, MD/La Plata) improved on his NCAA Qualifying Time in the 1,500 meters, finishing in 3:52.92. Ryan Van Alstine (Midland Park, NJ/Midland) ran the 5,000 in 15:05.95.

            Jennie Pernisi (Camden, NY/APW) represented the LC women with a time of 4:51.60 in the 1,500.
