Lynchburg to Play Washington College in Chestertown, MD, in the NCAA Tourney

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team received a first-round bye in the upcoming NCAA Division III Championship Tournament and will travel to Chestertown, MD, this weekend to battle Washington College. The contest will be held on Sunday, May 11, at 1:30 pm.

The Hornets received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament by defeating Virginia Wesleyan College in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament 12-6 Sunday afternoon. Washington College lost to Gettysburg College 12-7 in the Centennial Conference Tournament title game but was one of four schools to receive a Pool C bid to the Tournament.

Lynchburg is 16-2 on the season, went 6-0 in the ODAC, and is riding a 14-game winning streak. Washington is 13-3 this season after going 7-1 in the Centennial Conference that features two other NCAA Tournament participants in Gettysburg College and Haverford College.

Admission prices are $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. Children two years old or younger are admitted free of charge if accompanied by a ticketed adult.
