Position Details:
Title: News Intern for WSET-TV ABC affiliate
Type: Ongoing
Duties Include:
- Assisting news staff in setting up news interview
- Gathering facts and producing news stories
- Accompanying reporters on news stories
- Rehearsing reporter stand-ups, studio sit-ins (off air) and more

Title: Commercial Production
Type: Ongoing
Duties Include:
- Learning about various production skills including field camera operation, field audio, lighting, non-linear editing, producing and writing
- Participating in commercial production meetings by assisting the commercial production staff.
Hours will be determined based on the intern's class schedule.

- Learning various production skills
- Assisting production staff with studio skills of camera operation, lighting, audio, chyron, directing/switching, graphic design and promotion assembly and or field skills of camera set up, operation and gripping.

Duties Include:
- Learning about various promotion, programming, and graphic arts skills
- Assisting the promotion and graphic arts staff with print advertising development and execution and on-air promotion
- Designing special events promotion
- Writing and sending press releases
- Working with the News Department to aid in implementation of promotions
- Assisting in planning a media campaign using such tools as Nielsen reports
- Gathering documentation for co-op reports.
