The Lynchburg College Wind Symphony and Orchestra will present a spring concert on April 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Sydnor Performance Hall, Elliot & Rosel Schewel Hall. Dr. Oeida M. Hatcher, associate professor of music and director of music education/instrumental studies, will conduct the performance of two major symphony works, Symphony # 8 in F Major (orchestra) by Ludwig von Beethoven, and Symphony # 6 (Symphony for Band) by Vincent Persichetti.

Pat Gatti, former Wind Ensemble director, will be featured on the program as guest conductor of the Wind Symphony as they perform "From Every Horizon" by Norman Dello Joio and "Hands Across the Sea" by John Philip Sousa.

The concert is free and open to the public but reserved complimentary tickets are required. Ticket information is available at the Lynchburg College Music Office (544-8344).
