Softball Defeated by Randolph-Macon; Second Game Suspended

                ASHLAND, VA – The Randolph-Macon College softball team defeated Lynchburg College 7-6 in 11 innings in the first game of an ODAC double doubleheader Tuesday, while the second contest was suspended by darkness before the start of the eighth inning, tied at six all.

                Katie Bruce (Lanexa, VA/Lafayette) went 2-3 for Lynchburg, and threw the entire game for the Hornets in game one. Kirstin Swank (Bear, DE/Caravel Academy) was 3-4 and Brittany Allsop (Milford, CT/Jonathan Law) was 2-5.

                Whether the second game will be finished is yet to be determined.

                Lynchburg (30-5/13-2) will travel to Virginia Wesleyan College Thursday for another conference doubleheader at 3 p.m.
