Proof that Mom was right when she told you to eat your breakfast will be one of the projects highlighted in Lynchburg College's Eleventh Annual Student Scholar Showcase on Wednesday.

A sampling of projects to be presented include: "The Relationship between Eating Breakfast and Cognitive Function" by Kara Marie Jones; original poetry by Laura Bianca; the result of our campus lock-down by a crisis communication class; and a poster by Laura Clements, Danielle Davis, and Billy Green on "The Games Couples Play: It's a Jealousy Jungle Out There."

The event provides students with an opportunity to present their scholarly research, and creative and/or service-learning projects to the campus community in the Daura Gallery, Sydnor Performance Hall in Schewel Hall, and the Memorial Ballroom on Wednesday, April 16.

The 2008 Annual Juried Student Art Show and Senior Art Thesis Exhibition will be on display beginning April 22, 2008 in the Daura Gallery.

Student projects can include scholarly papers, creative writing projects, scientific or historical research projects, or performance arts projects, and may be presented in a variety of formats, including oral presentations and posters.
