SWEET BRIAR, VA - The sixth-ranked Lynchburg College softball team breezed to two Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victories Wednesday afternoon at Sweet Briar College, 17-1 and 9-0 - both in five innings.

Junior Brittany Allsop (Milford, CT/Johnathan Law) had four of the Hornets' 22 hits in the opener, scoring three times and driving in three runs. Dara Sandifer (Monroe, VA/Holy Cross) was 3-5 with two RBI, Tara Campbell (Leesburg, VA/Loudoun County, VA) was 3-4 with three runs scored and Audra Della Rosa (Rumford, RI/St. Mary Academy Bay View), Katie Bruce (Lanexa, VA/Lafayette) and Kirstin Swank (Bear, DE/Caravel Academy) each had two base-hits. Bruce earned the win on the mound, allowing three hits in her three innings.

Elizabeth Perkins (Kents Store, VA/Fluvanna County) was 3-4 in the second game, while Swank blasted a home run. Sandifer and Campbell each had two hits, and Barbie Miles (Kinsale, VA/Washington & Lee) worked four innings of one-hit ball for the win.

Lynchburg (27-3/10-0 ODAC) travels to Roanoke College Saturday for another ODAC double-dip at 1 p.m.
