LC Wlax Explodes for 21-11 win over Greensboro

            LYNCHBURG, VA – Sophomore attack Kathryn Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester) and freshman midfielder Emily McMillan (Hockessin, DE/Wilmington Friends) each scored five times Tuesday night to lead the Lynchburg College women’s lacrosse team to a 21-11 win over visiting Greensboro College.   

            The Pride led 6-4 mid-way through the first half, but the Hornets closed out of the first stanza with a 10-2 run, four from Ollice, to take a 14-8 halftime lead. LC surged out of the gate after intermission, netting four scores in the first minute and three seconds to put the contest out of reach.

            Lindsay Gengras (Avon, CT/Avon) netted four goals, while Nichole Locher (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) and Morgan Logue (Barrington, IL/Barrington) each tallied two goals and two assists. Kaity Johnston (Herndon, VA/Herndon) had a goal and an assist.

            Jennifer Donah led Greensboro (5-10) with three goals and two assists. Layne Woodard had two goals and two assists and Christie Hebert and Christina Denney each had two scores.

            The Hornets (7-5) head to Herndon, VA Thursday to square off with Marymount University. The game will be played at 3 p.m. at the word of Grace Center.
