Hornet Track Runs at Duke and NC A&T
GREENSBORO and DURHAM, NC – The Lynchburg College men’s and women’s track teams sent representatives to both Duke University and North Carolina AT&T Saturday.
At Duke, Travis Wray (Newburg, MD/La Plata) finished the 800 in 1:56.12, and Richard Apgar (Somers, NY/Somers) ran a 1:59.72. Richard Noles (Chesterfield, VA/Manchester) completed the 100-meter dash in 11.75.
Three Hornet women had noteworthy performances at NC A&T. Danielle Garofalo (Boxford, MA/Masconomet) had a personal-best of 1:11.42 in the 400-meter hurdles, and a 16.37 in the 100-meter hurdles. Chevonne Booker (Richmond, VA/Thomas Jefferson) ran a 13.22 in the 100-meter dash and Kyra Richardson (Midlothian, VA/Midlothian) finished the 200-meters in 27.24.
The Hornets host the LC Track and Field Classic next Saturday, starting at 8 a.m.
