LC Women's Tennis Tops Southern Virginia 9-0
LYNCHBURG, VA - The Lynchburg College women's tennis team won its second match of the season Wednesday, as they knocked off the Knights of Southern Virginia 9-0 in non-conference play from the LC Courts.
Elizabeth Eckert (Annandale, VA/Annandale) was a double-winner, as she won a No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles. Sophomore Racheal Ferrara (Skillman, NJ/Notre Dame) won at No. 1 singles, along with partnering with Sascha Barrow (West Point, VA/West Point) for an 8-0 victory at No. 2 doubles.
Jessie Moore (Salem, VA/Glenvar) and Amanda Dennis (Manassas, VA/C.D. Hylton) teamed up to win at No. 3 doubles 8-1, with each winning their singles matches as well. Krysten Bishop (Big Rapids, MI/Big Rapids) was another double winner, as she won at No. 4 singles and No. 1 doubles.
LC (2-9/1-5 ODAC) hosts Bridgewater College Friday at 3 p.m. on the LC Courts.
