Men’s Tennis Wins Second-Straight, 5-4 over Ferrum
FERRUM, VA – Senior Jay Duimstra (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) captured victories at #3 singles and #3 doubles Wednesday to lead the Lynchburg College men’s tennis team to 5-4 non-conference win at Ferrum College.
Sophomore Kristian Richardson (Trenton, NJ/The Hun School of Princeton) scored a three-set victory at #1 singles, and Daniel Civis (Forest, VA/Holy Cross) lost just three games en route to a win at #2 singles. Marc Halley (Leesburg, VA/Loudoun County) teamed with Brian Nelson (Charlotte, NC) to win at #2 doubles and Kyler Paluga (Williamsburg, VA/Lafayette) joined Duimstra as one-half of the winning #3 doubles tandem.
The Hornets (3-8) put their two-match winning streak on the line Friday, as they host North Carolina Wesleyan at 3 p.m. on the LC Courts behind Wake Field House.
