LC Breezes Past Hollins 19-3

             HOLLINS, VA – Junior attack Deana Welsch (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) scored five goals and assisted on four others Wednesday afternoon to lead the Lynchburg College women’s lacrosse team to an 19-3 win over Hollins University in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.

             Lynchburg scored 11 of the game’s first 12 goals, three from sophomore attack Elizabeth Moulden (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary’s), to put the game out of reach early. Moulden finished with four tallies, Kathryn Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester) posted three goals and five assists while Tricia Clay (Alexandria, VA/West Potomac) had three scores. Patty Sheahan (Lutherville, MD/St. Timothy’s) had two goals and an assist, Kaity Johnston (Herndon, VA/Herndon) delivered a goal and two assists and Elizabeth Jackson (Baltimore, MD/Notre Dame) added a goal and an assist.

             Pam Cruz had two scores for Hollins (0-4/0-3 ODAC).

             The Hornets (6-3/2-2 ODAC) host ODAC-foe Randolph-Macon College Friday at 7 p.m. under the lights of Shellenberger Field.
