                LYNCHBURG, VA – Aimee Sraver netted five goals to lead the Virginia Wesleyan College women’s lacrosse team to a 15-10 win Friday afternoon over Lynchburg College in an Old dominion Athletic Conference showdown.

                The Hornets took a 5-3 lead 20 minutes into the first half, with all five tallies coming from different scorers. The Marlins countered with seven of the game’s next eight goals to lead 10-6 at the break, and enjoyed at least a three-goal cushion the rest of the way.

                Kathryn Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester) and Lindsay Gengras (Avon, CT/Avon) each had two goals and two assists for Lynchburg. Nichole Locher (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) and Deana Welsch (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) both scored twice, and keeper Emma Lippert (Devon, PA/Conestoga) made 15 saves.

                Jullian Boyd scored four times and added two assists for Virginia Wesleyan (5-2/3-0 ODAC). Kasey Marchwicki found the back of the net three times and Bethany Adomanis posted two goals and two assists. Ashley Sippell made 15 stops in net.

                The Hornets (5-3/1-2 ODAC) travel to Hollins University for another conference match-up Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
