Brittany Dahn Earns Second-Team All-Region Honors

LYNCHBURG, VA – The accolades continued to roll in for sophomore forward Brittany Dahn (Glen Allen, VA/Deep Run), as she was named to the D3hoops.com All-South region second-team which was released Wednesday afternoon.

Dahn led the Hornets with 16.0 points per game this season, also pulling down a league-high 11.8 rebounds per contest. She was also named to the All-ODAC first team recently, becoming the first Hornet sophomore to be named to the first-team since Kelly Fackler back in 1994.

Howard Payne’s guard Meia Daniels took home south region player of the year honors, while her coach Chris Kielsmeir was tabbed as the coach of the year. CNU’s Chelsie Schweers was selected as the Rookie of the Year in south region. ODAC player of the year, Molly Ariail of Randolph-Macon, was the only other player that garnered all-region accolades, as she took home third-team honors.

The Lynchburg women finished their 2007-08 season with a 16-10 mark, the best record for a Hornet squad since 2002-03.
