Ronnie LaBrie Takes Home Second Straight ODAC Honor

             LYNCHBURG, VA – Senior shortstop Ronnie LaBrie (Vinton, VA/Staunton River) was honored as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) baseball player of the week for the second-straight week Monday as released by the conference office.

             LC finished the past seven days with a 3-1 record, thanks in part to the offense from LaBrie. Labrie hit .583 the past four games, reaching base over 75 percent of the time this week, walking three times and being plunked six times by pitches.

 LaBrie was successful on all seven of his stolen base attempts, while scoring 12 times and driving in six runs. He also slugged 1.167 on the week, a team-high, and hit his team-best fourth homer of the season against Tufts University on Friday.

 The Hornets (14-7/5-1 ODAC) will entertain the Panthers of Ferrum College Tuesday night at 6 p.m. over at Lynchburg City Stadium.
