College of Notre Dame Outscores LC 20-15

             LYNCHBURG, VA – Anne Shippen found the back of the net six times Monday afternoon to lead the College of Notre Dame women’s lacrosse team to a 20-15 non-conference victory at Lynchburg College.

             The Gators led 11-8 at the break and LC could get no closer than three after intermission. Hornet junior attack Deana Welsch (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) scored four times for Lynchburg, and Nichole Locher (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) and Kathryn Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester) each had two goals and two assists. Elizabeth Moulden (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary’s) had two scores and an assist while Lindsay Gengras (Avon, CT/Avon) posted a goal and two assists. Kaity Johnston (Herndon, VA/Herndon) added a goal and an assist.

             Lauren Terry netted five scores for the College of Notre Dame (3-2). Amelia Yatto tallied four goals and an assist and Tina Money had eight points (three goals and five assists).

             The Hornets (4-2) host Medaille College (NY) Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
