Hornet Tennis Splits at Randolph Macon

             ASHLAND, VA – The Lynchburg College men’s tennis team scored its first win of the 2008 season Saturday at Randolph-Macon, 5-4, while the Hornet women fell 9-0 to the Yellow Jackets.

            Kristian Richardson (Trenton, NJ/Hun School of Princeton) teamed with Daniel Civis (Forest, VA/ Holy Cross) to win 8-1 at #1 doubles, and Richardson won his singles match at #1 singles as well. Jay Duimstra (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) also won both of his matches, teaming with Kyler Paluga (Williamsburg, VA/Lafayette) to win at #3 doubles. Nick Carroll won his singles match 6-3, 6-4.

            The LC women fall to 0-7 with the loss, 0-3 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, while the men improve to 1-6/1-2.
