LC Track Competes at Coastal Carolina
MYRTLE BEACH, SC – The Lynchburg College men’s and women’s track and field teams opened the 2008 outdoor season Saturday, traveling to Coastal Carolina University.
Jennie Pernisi (Camden, NY/APW) paced the women’s team with a time of 4:57.22 in the 1500, Danielle Garofalo (Boxford, MA/Masconomet) cleared 1.55 meters in the high jump and ran the 100-meter hurdles in 16.73. Molly Galloway (Fairfax, VA/W.T. Woodson) finished the 800 meters in 2:27.09 and Megan Donnelly (McLean, VA/McLean) ran a 2:30.14.
Ian McNaughton (Warrenton, VA/ Fauquier) ran the men’s 400-meters in 50.66 and Rashard Adams (Ashburn, VA) ran the race in 50.78. Earl Graves (Richmond, VA/Hermitage) completed the 200-meters in 22.68.
Lynchburg is back in action next Saturday, hosting the LC Invitational at 9 a.m.
