Hornets Roll Past Hendrix 26-0
LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College men’s lacrosse team rolled past Hendrix College 26-0 Friday night from Shellenberger Field.
Freshman Robert Flintoff (Suffolk, VA/Nansemond-Suffolk) led Lynchburg with five goals while Michael Mundorf (Catonsville, MD/Mt. Saint Joseph) and Tyler Tolson (Lutherville, MD/Loyola Blakefield) each tacked on four goals. Austin Jeter (Coppell, TX/Episcopal), Kevin Donahue (Ipswich, MA/Tabor Academy), Anthony Tompkins (Manhasset, NY/Manhasset), and Ryan Cranston (West Chester, PA/Henderson) each contributed with two goals.
Kreyton Polka made 14 saves for Hendrix (0-5) while Tom Wojcik was 13-25 on faceoffs. Lynchburg outshot the Warriors 52-9 and earned a 58-27 advantage in groundballs. Each team won 15 faceoffs while LC converted 13 of 16 clears while Hendrix was just 3-18.
Lynchburg (3-2), ranked #13 in the latest USILA poll, travels to Greensboro, NC, on Wednesday to battle the Pride of Greensboro College at 3:30 pm.
