Sorted recyclables are placed in the proper collection container. From there, housekeeping collects the recyclables and places them outside for pickup. They are picked up by the grounds staff and placed in large storage containers. Sonoco Recycling collects the recyclables from these containers on a regular basis. Recycling on the Lynchburg College campus is more than just putting an item in a container. Housekeeping, the grounds crew, and physical plant all work very hard to make this project a success!
