LC Baseball Wins Rubber Match with Alvernia 13-6
Box Score vs. Alvernia
LYNCHBURG, VA - Senior shortstop Ronnie LaBrie (Vinton, VA/Staunton River) was 3-5 with two solo homers as the Hornet baseball team won the weekend series over Alvernia College with a 13-6 victory Sunday afternoon from Fox Field.
LC (5-5) struck early and often, scoring three in the bottom half of the second highlighted by a two-run double by Cameron Grant (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage). Labrie hit is first homer of the day to lead off the third inning, giving LC a 4-0 edge, going deep again in the fifth inning to give the Hornets a 5-3 advantage.
